This is the Manuel Antonio National Park, a small national park in the Central Pacific Conservation Area located on the pacific coast of Costa Rica.

Manuel Antonio includes 12 islands located a short distance from shore. Most of them lack vegetation and serve as excellent seabird sanctuaries; they are an especially important nesting site for the brown booby.

The annual precipitation average is of 3.875 mm. The summer months are January, February and March; and the winter months are August, September and October.
Manuel Antonio National Park is in life zone of the very humid tropical forest. Protect drums of primary forest, secondary forest, manglar, and beach vegetation and sea environments.

Four beaches are contained within the limits of the park: Manuel Antonio, Espadilla Sur, Escondido, and Playita. With their large light sand berms, it is easy to see why they attract beach goers of all ages. Both Manuel Antonio and Espadilla Sur contain tidal pools and offer the possibility of snorkeling. Short day trips to Caño Island are available, which is popular for those interested in scuba diving. Mountain biking, and hiking provide great opportunities to experience the tropical wildlife that enriches Manuel Antonio, arguably one of the country's most beautiful and protected costal areas. Several eateries, bars, souvenir shops and fruit stands are also situated along the beachfront. One could easily go to the beach for the day and not need to return to the hotel room until the day is over.
